Teach a dog to swim
We will try to give some tips on how to teach a dog to swim and some general safety issues. Always contact your vet if you have medical questions.
I would suggest starting your dog in a pool or shallow lake where you can go in the water with your dog. Many dogs will be safer if you stay with them if they are worried to wake up alone. So by going out, you can earn their trust before you make them go alone. Take a favorite toy with you and encourage him to move forward by throwing it in a short distance and swimming.

Bring another dog that can swim to encourage your pet to try.
There are life jackets that you can buy to help teach your dog. These usually have handles that you can easily hold and are useful for bringing a dog back into a boat.
There is a common problem. Your puppy will leave and will not return. You have the choice to swim and pick them up or wait for them to get tired and come back. Never leave them in a string and away from you until you know they will come back or go to shallow water where you can pick them up if you need them.
Then make sure to give a bath your dog with fresh water to remove bacteria and chemicals. You can also rinse your dog before hand to prevent water from absorbing into the hair.
